Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in multi-family buildings.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
Perform upgrades and installations of lighting fixtures, outlets, and electrical panels.
Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards.
Collaborate with property managers and maintenance teams to address electrical concerns.

Qualifications:

Valid electrician’s license in Wisconsin preferred.
Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a multi-family residential setting.
Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.

POSITION SUMMARY
These positions are responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots basic electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
  • Installs conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems
  • Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections
  • Cleans and maintains job site, tools, and vehicles
  • Consistently follows workplace safety procedures
  • Participates in toolbox talks, safety audits, and related safety functions
  • Immediately identifies, corrects, and/or reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner
  • Works as a member of a cohesive team
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Job Description:

Installation and maintenance of systems to include Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.

  • Installation of pathways and cabling
  • Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge
  • Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment and procedures
  • Installation and Termination of peripheral devices
  • Programming and testing of the systems
  • Customer Training of the appropriate systems
  • Maintenance and support, service calls of the installed systems
  • Travel to various locations to replace/troubleshoot hardware equipment
  • Monitor progress of work, delivery and implementation

The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of experience. BICSI Certification a plus . You should also be self-motivated, trustworthy, and willing to work hard and be a team player contributing to the success, growth, and excellent reputation of Edge Electric.

Job description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple commercial, industrial, and multi-family electrical projects. This role includes defining project objectives, creating and maintaining schedules, coordinating teams, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality, budget, and client expectations. An effective Project Manager is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also a strong communicator who can bridge the gap between office planning and field execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, solution-driven, and able to foster teamwork while holding projects to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
  • Communicate with management, field staff, and clients to ensure objectives are met
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Track project progress and performance metrics, reporting to senior leadership
  • Oversee project closure, ensuring all deliverables are completed and accepted
  • Foster collaboration between office and field staff to improve communication and efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with safety and industry standards

Qualifications / What an Effective Project Manager Looks Like:

  • Must hold a valid Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, and multi-family electrical contracting projects
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems, structured cabling, fire alarm systems, security wiring, and other specialty systems helpful
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate teams
  • Strong organizational habits — able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Comfortable making informed decisions quickly while balancing client needs and company goals
  • A collaborative approach that builds trust with field crews, office staff, and customers alike
